Asia
The UNOY Asia regional network comprises 25 member organisations across 13 countries.
The region was the first to decentralise (together with West and Central Africa) through the establishment of a coordination structure in 2017 hosted by a member organisation. Progressing significantly towards decentralisation, the region has designed programmes, built resource partnerships (with the UN and other partners), and implemented a Training of Trainers (2017), ActOn2250 (2018), Organisational Development (2019), Youth 360 methodology pilot (2020), #Youth4Peace in Southeast Asia virtual forum (2020), an EU-funded programme: Amplifying Leadership of Local Youth (ALLY), as well as a COVID-19 response programme to prevent conflict and build social cohesion in South Asia.

The UNOY Asia regional network is also hosting many members of the Asian Youth Advocacy Team (Asia-YAT), which engages in strategic advocacy with regional institutions for the operationalisation of the Youth, Peace and Security agenda. Going forward, the commitment remains to ensuring that young peacebuilders in Asia are sustainably resourced and that their participation in peace and security conversations is meaningful and recognised.
