Connect. Strengthen. Care.
What is the YPF?
In September 2026, the 7th edition of the Young Peacebuilders Forum (YPF) will take place in Kathmandu, Nepal. Hosted by UNOY member Youth Network for Peace and Development with support from Youth for Peace International, the four-day forum will bring together representatives from 45 member organisations across more than 30 countries.
YPF26 offers a dedicated space to exchange experiences, strengthen organisational resilience, and co-create tools for youth-led peacebuilding. Unlike traditional conferences, this gathering emphasises peer-learning, collective care, and transforming capacities into collective impact, all while advancing the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Agenda.
What is its purpose?
We envision a world where young people and youth-led peacebuilding organisations are connected, equipped, and recognised as essential architects of sustainable, inclusive, and just societies. With this in mind, the YPF aims to strengthen youth-led peacebuilding organisations facing underfunding, civic restrictions, and wellbeing challenges - supporting them to sustain, scale, and showcase their impact in healthy, collaborative ways rooted in the YPS Agenda.
The Forum is built on three core principles: co-creation with participants, peer-to-peer connection, and capacity development embedded in UNOY's ongoing programming.
