Nepal Post-earthquake Situation: Facts

3 months after the earthquakes, Nepal is still in a very critical situation. Our member, Jagriti Child and Youth Concern Nepal (JCYCN), has managed to mobilize 200 volunteers to collect the relief materials, distribution and other wellbeing work for the victims. They have provided food and other necessary items to around 5000 households in most affected districts.

Coordinating with the Government, national and international organizations, NGO Federation Nepal center committee, Local Disaster Management Committee, CMDRR-Forum Nepal member organization, the Health Ministry, they have imported international medicine and cooperated with doctors to help earthquake victims locally. JCYCN along with other organizations has implemented the “Earthquake Child Protection and Psychological Awareness Programme” for children, youth and adults in different schools of the Devchuli Municipality. For more information about their work, check their website: https://jcycnepal.wordpress.com/ and Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/jcycn
