Ominya Initiative for Peace and Community Development

Ominya Initiative for Peace and Community Development (OIPCD) is a youth-led, community-based organization in Nigeria working to advance sustainable peace, inclusive governance, and social justice. Their work focuses on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), human rights, education for peace, and civic participation. OIPCD engages young people and women as peacebuilders through community dialogues, capacity development, policy advocacy, and grassroots action. They work at the intersection of peacebuilding, development, and social inclusion, supporting marginalized communities to build resilient institutions and prevent conflict through non-violent, participatory approaches.
